Our concentrated and diverse programs in residence offer students many opportunities for personal and professional growth. It is through continued education outside the classroom where most real-world learning takes place. The experience of living in a residence community itself provides many opportunities for self-discovery and an appreciation of differing perspectives.
We base our programming on the rhythm of the academic year, and on the issues and experiences that students generally face when living in a residence community and attending their first year at university.
We also conduct regular surveys of our residents to ensure that our programs and the residence life experience overall continue to be relevant and supportive.
Some examples of our programs include; Coffee Houses, where students share their musical talents in a relaxed café setting; floor dinners; "Gotcha" tournaments, where students with your photo try and tag you on sight; and the Healthy Sexuality Condom Game, where students are given a condom and must carry it with them at all times. If caught without it, they get an STI and are out!
