There's Always Someone There to Help
Residence Staff

Residence Dons and Residence Advisors

These community leaders are senior students employed by Housing, and live on your floor to serve as a link between you and the University. Their number-one priority is to help make your Western experience the best it can be.

Residence Managers

All residence managers are university-educated Western employees who each live in residence and help promote an atmosphere that supports academic achievement, a sense of community, learning outside the classroom.

Academic Programmers

Academic programmers (APs) are members of the residence staff who promote a living and learning environment within the residence system. APs are full-time students who are trained to bring you the support and assistance you need to be academically successful.

Assistant Program Coordinators

The APCs are members of the residence staff who work with residents' council and association leaders, campus and community resources and the University Students' Council to build collaboration on social and educational programs in the residences. They also support residence staff with programming ideas to meet the needs of their floors.

Residence Sophs

Residence sophs are upper-year students with great UWO spirit! They are your connection to orientation week activities and work hard throughout the year to help you feel a part of the residence community.

Residents' Councils and Associations

Residents' council and association members are community leaders who are elected representatives of the residents. They plan activities and programs, including intramural sports, formals, special outings and study groups, and organize social activities.

Front Desk Staff

Our residence secretaries and clerks look after our front desks 24 hours a day. They answer the main phone, greet guests, issue replacement keys, dispatch on-duty residence staff to handle concerns, and take maintenance requests.
