With the lay-off season upon us once again, I'd like to remind you that all Records of Employment (ROEs) will be e-filed directly to Service Canada. You will not receive a paper copy. Once you have filed for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits online, Services Canada sends out some information by mail, including a four (4) digit access code. This access code, along with your Social Insurance Number, can be used to confirm with Services Canada, that the ROE has been matched with your EI file.

Change of address... or telephone number... or banking information?

Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to update your personnel records online. With your Western employee username and password, simply login to myHumanResources at www.uwo.ca/humanresources/peoplesoft/admin_index.htm. You can access and edit your information, as required.

As many of you will (hopefully!) have noticed... in December, changes were made to the online payroll earnings statements that now requires a new window to open in order for you to view your statement. If the pop-up blocker is on, the window cannot open and will not display. Please follow the following simple steps to turn the pop-up blocker off:

1. Select "tools" from the menu bar.
2. Select "Pop-Up Blocker" from the drop down.
3. Select "Turn Off Pop-Up Blocker".
4. Respond "yes" when the system asks you if you are sure.
