| Application to Host On-Campus Food Event (not catered by Hospitality Services) |

Purpose of this Application Process To ensure that all food being served on campus is safe, and adheres to the guidelines and recommendations of the Middlesex London Health Unit (MLHU). Explanation Any campus organization wishing to host an event where food (not catered by Hospitality Services) is to be served, is required to notify Hospitality Services, in writing, thirty (30) days prior to the planned event. Depending on the type of food being served, the host may be directed to the MLHU to apply for a permit. Hospitality Services reserves the right to contact the MLHU to request an inspection of any such food event on campus. BBQ Events In order to ensure products for all BBQs meet Food Safety code requirements, all meats must be ordered through Hospitality Services. To order these products, please contact the Hospitality Services Food Safety/Health & Safety Manager at hsfoodsafety@uwo.ca or call 519 661-2111 Ext. 85634. Arrangements must be made a minimum of 10 days prior to the event. Items ordered from Hospitality Services will be charged to the organizing group at cost. It will be the responsibility of the organizing group to make arrangements for pickup of items ordered. Middlesex London Health Unit All host organizations must comply with the MLHU standards for food handling, temperature control, hand washing and facility sanitation.
